I graduated with an Honours degree in Accountancy and went on to do my CA exams after securing a training contract with KPMG. My degree gave me full exemptions from the first set of professional exams and proved to be a very sound basis for the second set. Throughout my training, I found myself going back to my university notes time and time again.

Ten years on and I am still with KPMG, currently working in its Financial Sector Advisory team. My work is very varied and I spend most of my time working with clients throughout the UK. Each day can bring a new challenge - dealing with urgent client requests, managing multi-location assignments and getting home at a reasonable time to see my family! But my job is great and helping a client resolve often difficult and sensitive issues gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

Studying at Stirling gave me a great start to my CA training and four years of happy memories. I still keep in touch with friends I met there and can't believe it's almost fourteen years since I made that first trip to Stirling!
